To create my own personal logo, I began by sketching 10 ideas that I felt represented different aspects of my personality and interests. I knew I wanted something that was cute and feminine, so I drew things like flowers, bows, and butterflies combined with my initials to personalize it. My goal was to focus on simplicity rather than detail so that it would look good either small or large.
After looking over my sketches, the butterfly stood out to me because it symbolizes themes of transformation, balance, and growth which reflects my own personal journey. I also liked how the wings framed my initials while still looking clean and recognizable.
I refined the design in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool. I focused on creating smooth curves and aimed to make the design balanced. I first finalized a black and white version to ensure that the silhouette was clear. After that, I made 3 color variations using the color fill tool. Using color theory, I chose pink to represent femininity, blue to communicate calmness, and green to symbolize growth. Each variation gives the logo a slightly different tone while maintaining the same core identity.
Overall, my final logo reflects who I am now while also symbolizing who I am continuing to become.
